Always let the Spirit be your guide!

Rachael has now been two weeks out on the mission field serving in Crewe ward Manchester Mission...

Rachael has a fun week with finding, her and her companion stopped to talk to a priest and say hello, he said he recognized her companion. He saw their badges and started backing away pointing to his telling them he was a priest and walked away, she found it amusing. From my mission experiences I have come across Christians who live what they preach and are kind to you no matter what your religion, I've also come across those who run a mile when they see you and even those that want to challenge your knowledge of God and the Bible and prove you wrong and in some cases try to dam you to hell... Being a Christian does not necessarily mean belonging to the right church but means to be a follow of Jesus Christ and his teachings. Basically to be like him. It appals me sometimes when I see the way Christians treat other Christians whatever faith we are from we should treat each other as brothers and sisters, because we are. I really like what was share last conference by Robert D Hales on being a more Christian, Christian.

So For those not of our Faith who are friends to Rachael or have come across her Blog, this weekend has been a special one for our Church as the Prophet and his Apostles have spoken live to the world, the things that God wants us to hear and do now.
Rachael really liked when president Monson said 'the stronger the wind, the stronger the timber.'
That has Rachael all over it :) Life is hard even with the Gospel in our lives but it makes us stronger and wiser.

Rachael though it also important to share with us the following:

I smashed down a shed with a hammer, was such a good stress release haha when we rang our district leader he was like did you do a Thor smash, I was like wahh how did you know thats exactly what I did!
LOL

Rachael also shared an experience of talking with a university student after discussing shopping and life she said she shared with her a pamphlet about the Restoration of Christ Church and a Pamphlet on the Plan of Salvation or the plan God has for us. The Elders in the ward were on the same bus back with her and told Rachael she read both the pamphlets whilst sitting on the bus, she was pretty pleased about that.

A big difference she has noticed whilst on her mission is the guidance and direction she is getting from the spirit. she said 'Honestly since becoming a missionary the spirit is like a hundred fold more powerful or it might just be I recognise it more, but I'm lead by it all the time, its hard because I've got to try and be worthy of it 24/7. In the zone meeting too there was a quote from an apostle saying to call down miracles from heaven, you have the right to because you're doing the Lords work.'

What is the spirit?
