First week in Manchester mission
Rachael is enjoying serving in the Manchester Mission, she is currently serving in crewe Ward with her companion Sister Brown from St George Utah a bubbly red head who giggles a lot and loves to sing :) she really likes her and finds her easy to confide in.
Her first day on the field was eventful after unpacking they visited a less active with a son who has ADHD who gave them food and they shared a message about peace with her to cheer her up as she was feeling low. when she got back Rachael's ankle started gushing blood everywhere and ruined her new shoes! trying to break those suckers in is cutting up her feet but she will get used to it.
They are teaching a lady preparing for baptism but is struggling with the word of wisdom and trying to help her this week by not drinking tea and coffee, she didn't like Caro at all (I'm with her on that) but Rachael thought it would be a good idea to introduce her to Bournville Cocoa and she loved it!
She found it hard getting to sleep the first night and naturally was looking forward to her first 6:30am wake up call. She was amazed by how much study time was available to her which she enjoyed and her companion cooked her salmon for Lunch (a companion that can cook, golden!) and ice cream for breakfast lol. she got stopped by a lady in the library before emailing who told her that the church is not true because no one can add to the Bible as stated in Revelations but had a nice conversations with her talking about the origins of the Book of Mormon and nicely stating that he meant adding to that bit of revelation since the bible was compiled a while after and revelations was not the last to be written.
She went to her first Sisters meeting and found she was the only English Sister their and pretty much were all Americans.
Her ward held their Primary presentation on Sunday which made her miss her primary class back home, she had a lot of investigators come to church though which made things better.
No Pictures this week as she forgot to take her Camera cable!
Keep you all posted!
